The "Chancenzirkel" is a a structured, 12-month program by Creative Change, aimed at specifically preparing disadvantaged groups for sustainable integration into the labor market. The focus is on placement into employment subject to social security contributions or vocational training..

The 12-Month Qualification Program

Creative Change specializes in programs for the labor market integration of disadvantaged youth and young adults, using interactive, action-oriented methods. The goal is to address key barriers to employment , such as lack of soft skills, motivational issues, and language deficits.

Target groups

The course is aimed at individuals who face structural and personal challenges in the labor market:

Young people without an apprenticeship
aged 18 to 25 years
Unemployed individuals 
with a refugee or migrant background

These groups are disproportionately affected by unemployment and require targeted support in transitioning into the labor market. Vorkenntnisse sind für die Teilnahme nicht erforderlich.

Which challenges does the "Chancenzirkel" address?

Participants are often confronted with the following barriers, which the program aims to overcome:

  1. Lack of labor market–relevant soft skills such as communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, and the ability to handle criticism.
  2. Limited orientation regarding vocational training and career paths..
  3. Low motivation and self-efficacy.
  4. Language and cultural barriers (especially for individuals with a refugee background)
  5. Insufficient knowledge of workplace expectations and behaviors

The interactive approach of Creative Change 

Chancenzirkel' stands out due to its theatre-educational and interactive approach.The program uses theatrical play, role-plays, and simulations to strengthen social skills through perspective-taking and emotional experiences.

  • Method: Interactive theatre/dramatic learning is the main method used to convey the learning content.

  • Learning Methods: The content is also delivered through peer case consultation, project work, learning coaching, and role-plays.

  • Accessibility The approach combines action-oriented learning with an emotional component, which enhances self-efficacy and reduces language barriers through non-verbal elements.

  • Format: The program is delivered exclusively in person as the interactive methods rely on direct physical interaction to build trust and support non-verbal communication.

Program Structure (12 Months)

The program is divided into three phases:

Phase 1

Preparation for the Realities of Working Life
Content: Intensive teaching of soft skills (communication, conflict management, self-reflection), basic knowledge of labor law and workplace processes.

Schedule: Six lessons per day conducted on-site at Creative Change.
3 months

Phase 3

Practical Experience & Skills Development
Content: Participants complete two to three mandatory internships (4 days per week). One day per week (6 lessons) is spent on-site at Creative Change to reflect on internship experiences and receive transfer training.

Focus: Personal responsibility, motivation, and application skills.
6 months

Phase 3

Integration phase
Content: Intensive preparation for entering the workforce, support during the application process, deepening of labor law fundamentals, and strengthening of resilience.

Schedule: 4 days of intensive training at Creative Change and 1 day of internship.
3 months

Completion and Certification

Upon successful participation in all three phases, participants receive a certificate.This certificate documents:

  • The duration and structure of the programs

  • The soft skills and key competencies acquired (e.g., communication, reliability, conflict management)

  • The internships completed, including duration and employer feedback.

The certificate serves as an important credential for employers and boosts the participants’ self-confidence. The program provides a solid foundation for starting vocational training or entering the workforce directly..
